Thank you very, very much. Well, this isn’t exactly the party I’d planned, but I sure like the company.

And I want to start today by saying how grateful I am to all of you, to everyone who poured your hearts and your hopes into this campaign, who drove for miles and lined the streets waving homemade signs, who scrimped and saved to raise money, who knocked on doors and made calls, who talked, sometimes argued with your friends and neighbors … who e-mailed and contributed online, who invested so much in our common enterprise, to the moms and dads who came to our events, who lifted their little girls and little boys on their shoulders and whispered in their ears, “See, you can be anything you want to be.”

Democrats Descend on Missoula, Montana

With Montana’s Democratic primaries set to take place on June 3, the party’s candidates and supporters are sweeping the state in attempts to woo voters. One of the last states in the nation to hold its primary elections, Montana cities and towns are marked by the approaching vote. It’s hard to travel anywhere, be it in one of the state’s busy cities or driving through its vast stretches ranch country, without seeing signs supporting either Clinton or Obama posted in storefronts, on private lawns, and on billboards.

Healthcare - Why Congress Can’t Fix It

Hillary Clinton says she will fix our health care system. Barack Obama says he can fix it better. The fact is that neither of them will “fix” anything. Either of them will change system, but there are some serious issues as to why neither of their plans will actually do anything to lower the cost of health care in the United States. The reason is very simple when you stop and think about it rather than get emotional about the issue.
