Here’s the humorous David Pogue singing about a world without Apple in a way that only, well, David Pogue could pull off.

It’s a decidedly critical take on Apple, the people who love the company, and technology in general, which many of you would argue includes Pogue himself.

French site Nowhereelse has their hands on some photos that look suspiciously like a (RED) version of the 16GB iPhone 3G. However, it’s lacking the telltale (RED) badge, making this pic dubious at best. Update.

Also, it could be the way the pic was taken, but the red color just doesn’t seem right.

This is it. This Tuesday at 9:00am PST we’ll liveblog the last Apple Macworld keynote. Will Phil Schiller announce software, hardware, an iPhone Pro, or just do a tap dancing number? What is really coming?

We don’t have a clue, but we are crossing our fingers for the last option.

Word from Asia today is that the 17-inch MacBook Pro, which conspicuously lacked the aluminum update its smaller brethren and cousins received earlier this year, will finally receive its refresh at MacWorld—with a twist.

The big news isn’t the aluminum unibody construction—it’s that the portable rig is getting a slimmer, more efficient battery.

There’ve been a lot of gimmicky gloves made to deal with capacitive touchscreens like the iPhone’s, but it turns out Apple had patented one of their own way back in 2007.

Apple’s patent called for an outer layer that could be pulled back to allow the inner layer to touch the device.

Knowing that it is very hard that Apple would ever release an iPhone Pro with physical keyboard, Mat Brady from planetmat has sent me another image of a potential accessory. It looks great.

Mat says that he created the accessory answering readers’ feedback on sliding keyboards.

The slide-out keyboard has generated the most response from any of my suggested features.

Ooooooooh, black curtains! Apple says they won’t have “revolutionary” products for Macworld 2009, but maybe this means that their new products are worth the secrecy.

Or maybe it is just that Apple doesn’t give a damn about Macworld anymore and this is why these guys were able to sneak in.
